Hawaii Dive Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to marine education and conservation based in Honolulu, Hawaii. We serve as a specialized education center for diver development and ocean advocacy. Unlike traditional shops, our operations are fueled by a passion for our underwater world, providing professional-grade scuba training and certifications that help support our essential conservation programs and partnerships on Oahu.
Stewardship & Conservation
We proudly practice reef-safe dives and provide education & awareness during the course of all activities and allocate proceeds to local marine conservation. Every dive actively helps restore O'ahu's reefs, while simultaneously supporting local research and restoration projects.
Personal & Professional
We insist on a Maximum of (6) Divers per Divemaster for all activities. This ensures your personal safety, attention and uncrowded encounters with marine life including prevention of any inadvertent damage to sensitive live coral. No cattle-boat experiences at Hawaii Dive Center; just safety and sustainability!

Welcome to CORDELIA, meaning "daughter of the sea" or "jewel of the sea". Our beautifully restored 50 foot Yacht, retrofitted with a custom diving platform, full bar, onboard bathroom, food service, multiple hot showers, internet, hidden television and Sonos 8.2 surround sound. CALYPSO
Join us on CALYPSO, a throwback to Jacques Cousteau's famous dive vessel. A founding father of the SCUBA Industry, Diving Regulator, Underwater Filmmaking and personal inspiration to our team as we explore, educate and expand upon this evolving industry. Our utility dive vessel is the perfect boat for our more comprehensive Coral Outplanting Surveys and Diver Training Programs.

Magic Island
Magic Island is a man-made peninsula and park at the eastern end of Ala Moana Beach Park in Honolulu, known for its calm, protected lagoon, white-sand beaches, and views of Diamond Head and Waikiki. Originally planned as a resort, it's now a popular spot for water activities including our Shallow Water Dive Training Programs.

How a Non-Profit Dive Operation Changes Everything
Our mission is to protect Hawaii's marine ecosystems through high-level diver education and active reef restoration. We aim to transform recreational divers into stewards of our oceans by integrating rigorous training with the conservation initiatives. Every course we teach and every dive we lead is designed to teach divers about local ecosystems, conservation efforts and how they can support the long-term health of our worldwide ocean and the communities that depend upon them.
Education & Awareness
Whether you're getting open-water certified or conducting advanced reef surveys, our curriculum integrates active marine science and ecological literacy into every dive activity, converting every-day divers into life-long ocean advocates.
Organization & Activities
Our operating proceeds help fund micro-fragmentation nurseries in Hawai'i to restore endangered coral species like Pocillopora meandrina and Porites lobata. Additionally, our activities are exclusively catered toward charitable contributions and diving programs in support and collaboration with our Hawaii State partners and Our Mission aligned strategic partnerships.
Citizen Science & Contribution
Every diver becomes an active collector of ecological data. Log marine and coral sightings, temperature anomalies, coral health scores, and species sightings to a live scientific database that reports directly to our DLNR DAR Coral Outplanting Partnership.

DLNR DAR (Division of Aquatic Resources)
Hawaii Dive Center is proud to announce that we have officially teamed up with Hawaii's Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Aquatic Resources in educating the public about Coral Conservation efforts, Outplanting Projects and public Coral Survey Programs. Every activity that we offer includes direct participation, education and support of the DAR Coral Outplanting Projects currently being conducted in the Kewalo Basin dive site locations.
Aloha I Ke Kai (Hawai'i Ocean Stewardship Program)
We are honored to be United in love for our ocean, the Aloha i ke Kai program creates an unprecedented opportunity to catalyze long term funding commitments to support local stewardship and conservation practices for restoring shoreline and ocean ecosystem health. It builds the interdependence and pilina between the visitor economy, the local economy, and local ecology. The program recognizes the need to generate funding to manage, protect, and enhance our ecosystems because of, and through, the sharing of our ocean's gifts with Hawai'i's visitors.

Guided Ecological Activities
Scuba Diving
Explore O'ahu's most vibrant reefs, historic shipwrecks, and sealife sanctuaries. From first-time dives to double-wreck adventures — all with group sizes. Every participant will learn about reef ecology and will participate in our DAR Coral Outplanting Survey program in partnership and collaboration with the DLNR DAR Coral Outplanting Projects.
